ActiveState have released Rails support in their new IDE.

Agreed. We'll see what they have to offer and at what price point.

Regardless, competition in the IDE space will only bring better tools
for Ruby/Rails right Huw? :)

Getting the IDE run on those platforms is one thing, COMPILING for
those platforms however, is quite another beast.

Indeed and that is (obviously) what I am after in fact...

As is Visual Studio 2005, which hosts Ruby in Steel. Huw's probably OK
on this one :-)
