We have used ReportBuilder successfully with D5, and its 3rd party library
TExtraDevices for PDF/Excel. We have never used Rave report writer. Our
new projects will use Delphi 2006. I realize this is a 'depends' question,
but which report writer is better - Rave or ReportBuilder?

Are there ex ReportBuilder users that have moved to Rave?

Does Rave have PDF/Excel natively (w/out a 3rd party lib)?

TIA--patrick

We use Rave reports to do a lot of reports from Delphi(not using Rave
Designer). So far I haven't seen any other reporting tool that does that.

We also have used Rave designer and it does its job ok, not as good as
others IMO. Haven't used ReportBuilder.

We use ReportBuilder and find it very good. But frankly, if I was choosing
again, I'd be having a serious look at List & Label (see Nicks blog) as it
provides the same report components for VCL and .NET, giving an upgrade path
we don't have with ReportBuilder.
