What kind of details are you looking for? Rave Reports is currently in Delphi 7, Delphi 8 and Delphi 2005 (both Win32 and .NET). We are looking forward to the Delphi 2006 (deXter) release.

Rave Reports also had support for VCL.NET in Delphi 2005.

Currently, the "feature matrix" would be essentially be the same for all supported versions of Delphi and C++Builder. The bundled versions of Rave Reports are the BE (Borland Edition) and are distributed and updated by Borland with their various products. The BE versions are NOT backwards compatible with prior versions of Rave Reports.
There is an upgrade from Nevrona to a BEX (Borland Edition eXtended) version of both the .NET and Win32 releases. The Win32 upgrade (Rave BEX) supports C++Builder 4, 5 and 6 and Delphi versions 4, 5, 6, 7 and Win32 side of D2005 and D2006. The upgrade of the BEX .NET version of Rave Reports supports the .NET side of D2005 and D2006. The BEX versions are backwards compatible and come with full component source code and free technical support from Nevrona via email.
Both Win32 and .NET versions of Rave Reports support TDataSet descendants.
There are two primary differences between the Win32 and .NET versions (both D2005 and D2006). The Unicode support is much better on the .NET side. Generating a Unicode report should work fine, but we still have some issues with saving to PDF and RTF. Scripting support is very powerful on the Win32 side. We are still working on getting scripting working on the ..NET side.
Lets us know if you have additional questions, We also have a "Tips and Tricks" and "Add-Ons" page on our web site. Nevrona newsgroups are available at news://news.nevrona.com .

I need to clarify my last reply. I am just a tech support guy. I included D2006 support in the BEX support portion. That is true in the sense that the Rave product that supports D2006 will also support all those other versions C++Builder and Delphi as stated. However, I am not sure whether the current version of Rave BEX will or will not support D2006 when it is released. That will be determined by folks above my pay grade <g>. I do know there are significant differences between D2005 and D2006 and that may drive that decision.

It is quite early here, but I will ask my leaders later if there is a formal answer to this question. The problem with providing details right now is that Delphi 2006 has not yet been released. I believe our "public" answer ahead of the formal release of D2006 is that we will support any TDataSet descendants. Although much has been said by Borland about the D2006 product including our participation in the "24 hours on Dexter Chat", I am not aware that we have permission / freedom to discuss any or all parts of D2006. Please bear with us during this "interim" period where we can say that Rave Reports BE version is part of the D2006 release, but as far as I know, we still have to be careful about anything else that we say.
