I'm from the right coast Dwayne, a place where there are rolling
hills, mountains, valleys and trees.
The state of Kansas gives the appearance of being bigger than almost
anywhere else. It is not known for mountain ranges and valleys. As
you drive across its billiard table-like terrain it just goes on and
on and on. The impression one gets from driving across it makes it a
metaphor for large size.

Hello Jack,
Jack>>Just for curiosity, why you need install all of those different
version on same machine?I think you only need BCB6 ENT, right?<<
I have many versions of Borlands Products Installed.
Turbo C/C++ version 1.01
Turbo C++ Windows
Borland C/C++ version 3.1
Boralnd C/++ version 4.01
Borland C/C++ version 4.5
Borland Builder 5
Many times I will use each of these to program.. Even now. Sometimes
the debugging on Turbo C/C++ v 1.01 is a whale of a lot better than
debugging on any of my other versions. It also insures backward
compatibility of code. The speed also is a BIG plus. Turbo v 1.01 ,
compiles so darn fast it makes my eyes spin. When certain code runs there,
I will transport it to the Builder.
One of the best examples I can think of, is a BTree. I got tired of
using RAM for some extremely LARGE hashing of some tables. Well I built a
program that did all nodes directly to disk...taking almost no memory at
all. Thus I went through 10 million items with ease. And the node depth was
only 30 deep worse case scenario. 30 reads to find 1 record in millions is
extremely good.
Using Turbo C/C++ v 1.01 was extremely good for this project. Saved
me hours. Then I just copied the code over for Builder and other compilers.

I have been to the Carolinas one time. Also Tenn and Vergina. I
guided a number of people on the Yakahani
French Broad, Ochoee , and Natahalia <sp> and a few others back in the Mid
80's. (Gosh thats 20 years ago! <g>). Beautiful Smokie Mts.

Ok to Ks...Riding horses.
I will have to send you some "Tumble Weeds" in the mail... Just so
you will not forget...
