OK, I'll bite then. If this news group isn't for asking about jobs and its
rare (about 8 a month worldwide) for anyone to post jobs, then what the
point of it?
The original question was a good one so I will take it as directed to the
other newsgroup.

Ivan,
The point is advertising Delphi jobs or one's availability for Delphi jobs.
I have found my last two Delphi jobs from posts on this group: a good one in
Missouri (unfortunately, my family decided not to move down there after all,
and so I eventually came home with my tail between my legs) and my current
one in Wisconsin, which is, all in all, the best programming job I've had so
far.

The .jobs group is for posting help wanted and position wanted posts
only. If we allow discussion in that group, it's usefulness becomes
nil.
Feel free to discuss general issues regarding the job market here.

I believe that all your questions where answered buy Nick but did you
even bother to count the messages in the last month?
