Hi,

Where can I find a howto or example using the *most basic SQL commands*
used
in a simple master-detail relationship.

Say I have the tables ORDER and ORDERLINES:
- how to retrieve a specific order number and its lines from the server
- how to save back the modified order with its (new number of) lines to
the
server
- how to save a new order and its lines to the server
- how to delete an existing order with its lines

Thanks for URLs or tips on this

regards

Tor

Here's a pretty good SQL tutorial:

http://www.1keydata.com/sql/sql.html

Be sure to read the sections on joins, which is what you need to deal with
master-detail relationships.

Do *not* call a table ORDER; it's a reserved word in SQL.
