Thanks to all for the suggestions. After reviewing them I think I will just
keep plugging away learning Windows programming via BCB6.

BGI stands for Borland Graphics Interface. The console app referred to
was
developed with Borland C++ version 5.02. The graphic functions referred
to
are in <graphics.h>, header file in Borland C++. There is no
graphics.h
in BCB6 so the BCB6 compiler complains when I try to compile the program.
The app is a domino playing program. It uses the graphic and video
functions in graphics.h to switch the video to graphic mode and draw the
domino table and move the dominos around on it as the game progresses. I
want to improve the program using BCB6 because I no longer have Borland
C++
5 on my machine and plan to reprogram the game as a Windows app but don't
know enough Windows programming yet to do so. I've noted the functions
MoveTo, LineTo, etc in TCanvas but haven't seen any examples of how to use
them in a console app, or know if they can be used in a console app..

Is there a way to recompile a console application which uses BGI
graphics,
in BCB6?
To create a console application go to File->New then choose Conole
Wizard.
You can choose various options such as if its a C application or C++,
wether
it uses the the VCL, multithreaded etc. If you want to use a specific
library with your application you can do that modifieng the include path
and
library path (go to projcet->Options...then select the
Directories/Conditionals tab.

I am learning to program Windows apps using BCB6 but need to
update and use the console app now. I know that BCB6 does not use
BGI.h
but
is there an equivalent graphics include file which has the functions
moveto,
lineto, outtext, etc or equivalents?

If your looking for equivalent functions i the VCL (which I find much
easier
to use), you want to take a close look at TCanvas. This class
encompases
a
vast amount of classes and functions that deal with drawring directly to
a
form.

If this doesn't help be more specific in your question what is BGI?
Provide
link or more info.
