Hi All!

We want to use dbExpress with MSSQL, but we have only Professional
version of D7, so we need a provider who has a driver.
Could you prefered any of them?
Which is the best?

I would highly recommend the MSSQL dbExpress driver
from Core Labs at http://www.crlab.com/products.html

I have been using the driver since August 2003 in a production
environment and it has been very stable (using it with
Delphi 6 Pro).

Source code may also purchased, however, I only bought a
license to use the DLL's, so I cannot comment on the clarity
of the code.

Hello !

Quote:
As far I use this driver 2 big problems occured, one is the MSSQL "bit"
datatype always return with true

This bug was fixed in 2.013 from 2004-02-25.

Quote:
the other on is that the "text"
datatype cannot be read (either with .AsString or .Text, in both cases
the result is: "[Memo]").

For me it works ...

We have QA system, which test at most all aspects of dbExp drivers.
I have compared Borland MSSQL driver and Open ODBC driver.
After latest fixes, Open ODBC driver does not have any serious
problems and supports more features than Borland driver.

Dmitry
