Yes you need Iseries Access and for the dbexprees
you need access for Iseries and then configure your conecction.

You have three options to connect to your data on the AS400: ODBC, ADO
or dbExpress.

ODBC and ADO drivers get installed with Client Access. I am not sure
if they are part of the standard installation or that you need to do a
custom install of Client Access.

If you want the dbExpress option you can go to http://www.sawatzki.de
and download the free driver for dbExpress
