Hi,
What does the following error mean: "Extensions supported:"
|
It's not really an error. You get that in response to the 'LIST
EXTENSIONS' command.
eg.
LIST EXTENSIONS
202 Extensions supported:
OVER
LISTGROUP
..
Basically, there ae standard news servers that support the original RFC
977, and more modern news servers that support some or all of the
extensions suggested in the USEFOR draft specs. So you know what
you're dealing with, the USEFOR drafts include the LIST EXTENSIONS
command whch lists the supported extensions. If you're using a very
old server, LIST EXTENSIONS may produce a '500 Syntax Error' response,
but otherwise yuo get a 202 response, a list, and a line with a dot on
its own.
