Heya all,

I'm a student at the University of Gloucestershire (http://www.glos.ac.uk)
studying e-commece with computing. As part of our course we regularly have
to use Borland Delphi; yet I can't afford such a program on my student
budget.

I was just wondering if anybody knew any 'student deals' (such as the like
Microsoft did with Office 2000) that were running? It doesn't really matter
what version of Delphi, as long as it can compile an .EXE

Please note: I am **NOT** looking for a cracked copy, as some people have
suggested

Go to http://www.borland.com/products/downloads/download_delphi.html
I think you can get the personal edition for free. They have changed the
site quite a bit since I got it but I think they still have it.

I have Borland Delphi 6 Personal and it will compile EXE's, but I think the
personal license agreement prohibits you from distributing.

You can give your programs away as much as you like, but not sell them.

No Commecial use for the personal edition! I heard that they can see from
the exe what version it's made with!

I've tried that, but all I've found so far, is just the strings "Borland"
and "Delphi".
Try to open the exe in WordPad to look for such things.
