Does anyone know about suppliers of budget but good such hardware
devices with Delphi manageable 'device drivers'?

With some modification, you could use this baby
http://www.picotux.com/
Other than that, Opto22 comes to mind. I am not sure
what budget you are referring to, but, I used Opto22
and I liked it quite a lot.

I'm not sure if you're working at the hardware design level or just want a
readymade switch box.
If you are working at the hardware design level, a quality budget solution
is a USB chip from http://www.ftdichip.com/ . There is a chip with 8
latched outputs which can be controlled from Delphi. USB drivers are a free
download. These people have shown dedication over a number of years with
quality drivers and chips. You install the driver and communicate thru a
dll provided. They keep updating drivers and I would think will support
Win64 soon enough.
I don't know how much current you are switching, but there are home
automation products.
National Instruments is the market leader in PC instrumentation and will
probably have something, but they are not cheap.

Roger

Hi,
Dunno what you want to use it for, but you could perhaps use X.10 equipment: www.x10.com
You can control it via a CM11 interface and our kbmX10 Delphi package.
