Hi,

I just downloaded Delphi 7 from Borland site, and I registered for a
Personal version.
I received the e-mail with activation key, and I saved it into my home dir.
But when I start delphi, it tells me it is not registred and shows me a form
with two buttons - register and exit

I have a dual boot PC, win98 on C: and Win XP Pro on F:
I installed Delphi on WinXP (which sees C: as system partition and F: as
boot partition).
I have Program Files folder on F and Documents and Setings on F too
I saved the attached key file to f:Documents and settingsBO folder (which
is my home dir).

Can anyone help me?

And another question:
In Personal licence limited vs Professional? I mean, does it has less
controls or features, or the only limitation is I'm not allowed to develop
comercial applications?

Cheers
Bobby

AFAIK the Personal edition is not available for download. Could you
point me to where you downloaded it? Do you mean the Delphi 7 Architect
Trial?

Yes, it has less controls and features, and you are also not allowed to
develop for commercial applications. The feature matrix located at
http://www.borland.com/delphi/pdf/del7_feamatrix.pdf has details on the
differences between Personal, Professional, Enterprise and Architect.

Delphi 7 Personal Promotion

This key is to activate the Delphi 7 Personal Promotion which was on a
CD that came in certain magazines some months ago. If you try to use it
to activate the Delphi 7 Architect Trial it will not work. When you
downloaded the Trial an e-mail with Delphi 7 Architect Trial activation
information should have been e-mailed to you. Did you receive another
activation file?

Hi,

Yes, I have the e-mail to register 30 days Delphi 7 Architect Trial
And indeed, it activated the product.
However, after I started it, I saw only Standard component toolbar, with a
single icon - Frame

Where are the other components?

And there is any way I can download Delphi 7 Personal? I want it for
learning.

Thank you

That usually occurs when 3rd party components have been installed prior
to starting Delphi for the first time. The solution is to run
D7RegClean which is located in your Delphi7Bin directory and then start
Delphi. After that install your 3rd party stuff.

Unfortunately Delphi 7 Personal is not available for download.
