Can someone please tell me what the relationship is between the versions
of the dbExpress drivers that come with D7 and D8?

I don't believe that the D8 dbExpress drivers are managed code so can they
be used by a D7 project? Or am I wrong in my assumption here?

If I have a third party dbExpress driver that I purchased and used for D7,
can I use the same driver with D8?

Thanks,

Lachlan

D8 Core dbExpress drivers are not Managed code. However, the D8 dbExpress
VCL is managed code and ported to .NET
