Hi!

TJetEngine) but still getting an error message "Unrecognize Database
Format" when the execution comes to XX.CompactDatabase(src,dst);. Using D7

There are 2 variants:

- you have old Jet, install latest Jet SP from
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/239114
- your database is corrupted and can not be repaired using this method.

There is fresh article is msdn on how to repair Access db:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;en-us;209137
