|
|
Hello,
I'm looking for a (VCL) tools to like a report writer but I need to write to
a file
Instead, with save report position:
I have quick report with Delphi 7, but when save the report to a text file I
lose all correct positions as report designed.
I'm trying to create print checks to a file, then from somewhere else user
grab the file
And print all checks to hard copy from this file (the file must not change
any positions)
Page size is same letter size, and all checks need to be in one file or
multi files
Thanks for any advice or suggestion |

Oh, one more thing, the file must be in text format with space (there is
another OS read the file)
Thanks |

Try downloading a trial version of ReportBuilder and then run the
RBuilder\Demos\Reports.dpr and select demo 107. It shows how to do this -
the example contains some notes about how to optimize the layout of the
report design so that it will translate accurately from a pixel based layout
to a character/line base output format.
