What reporting tools are available that allow the user to tweak the report
after it has been created?
I've created some reports by automating Word, and the user's are accustomed
to being able to "play with" the formatting, add text here and there, etc.,
before printing.
However, some users have "issues" with Word on their machines. I'm looking
for a replacement. Creating HTML reports is easy, but the users don't like
them.

Why not generate the reports in Excel? |

I'm sure the same issues which apply to Word would apply to Excel, too.
Besides, I think Word is "prettier."

Does FreeReport generate editable reports, too, or is this new functionality
only available in FastReport?

One option is to use ReportBuilder with an add-on export pack such as
Gnostice or TExtraDevices that can export the report to RTF format. MS Word
can then be used to edit the output.
