Any suggestions for an updated product for the same functions? The support for this product has been very good and they have added functionality that I requested. http://www.bome.com/Restorator/ You might not have appreciated how easy most of your need can be met by using rc files. It's not really publicized how easy it is to build res files from within your project ... just add the rc file to your project and Delphi will automatically build them. (I recently found out that this feature was introduced by D5). So since that discovery, I have had a lot less reliance on resource editors.
