Hi,
I recently asked about a problem that I cannot create a
new folder on desktop by any SaveAs dialog's gadget
for that purpose. On MS site, I finally found that problem
identified, and I'm *delighted* with the suggested
workaround ;)

SYMPTOMS
If you attempt to create a new folder on the desktop in the
Save As dialog box by clicking Create New Folder, a new
folder might not be created (instead, nothing may happen).
This issue occurs only when you are saving to the desktop.
Creating a new folder anywhere else works correctly.

That's me...

WORKAROUND
To create a new folder on the desktop in the Save As
dialog box, right-click an empty space in the Windows
Explorer window, point to New, and then click Folder.

Wow, I would never find out that without the tip ;)

MORE INFORMATION
This problem is only known to occur computers that use the
Intel 815EM/830M chip set. The problem does not occur if the
display driver is set to Standard VGA.

Yes, but I have AMD64 with nVidia, etc... Never mind, I must
switch to Standard VGA, maybe with 640x480 to be safe :)
This reminded me about a joke a friend of mine told me
recently (sorry if this will not sounds in the propper english
language):
Q: How two MS engineers replaces the burned out bulb?
A: They don't change it... They announces the dark as a
standard.
