|
|
I have the following results table.
Prod_1st 1st_No Prod_2nd 2nd_no Prod_3rd 3rd_no > upto 8th
1 4 17 5
22 3
9 3 16 3
25 3
7 2 33 2
49 2
The above results are explained as follows:
Product 1 Has appeared 4 times in 1st position(Best seller)
Product 9 Has appeared 3 times in 1st position(Best seller)
Product 17 Has appeared 5 times in 2nd position(Second best seller)
Product 16 Has appeared 3 times in 2nd position(Second best seller)
Product 22 Has appeared 3 times in 3rd position(Third best seller)
Product 25 Has appeared 3 times in 3rd position(Third best seller)
I create graphs based on every product appeared in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc.
This gives a visual picture as to the any repetition when using different
data sets.
What I need to do is to try to find any repetition or similarities within
the different datasets.
e.g..
We get the results from Jan to may 1998 and 2001. Is there any repetition
or similarities.
This could be has 1-9-7 appeared in the 1st_No column more than once.
Has 1-17-22 i.e. the prod1 first, prod17 second, prod 22 third.
We need to try to predict what would be the result of 2005 based on the last
10 years results.
Hope this makes sense.
Any ramblings, links, components or general help appreciated.
