Hi,
Software Using: Borland Delphi 5, Paradox 7, MS SQL server 2000;

I've made my initial application from Delphi with Paradox tables. My boss said to me to make the application using MSDE 2000, and make it possible to replicate those data to our Corporate Main Server, which is a SQL Server 2000.

My application is for the Fuel Pumping Station, and my boss said that it should be possible to Replicate those data to the Corporate Server by Someone in the Fuel pumping station or an IT Guy at the end of each day. I've made a database Called "SQLFuelDB" in the Corporate Main Server(Same tables used in Paradox). Now I want to know some answers to the following Questions:

1.Is it possible to replicate from Paradox to SQL Server?
2.Does this process require MSDE 2000's services at any point? How does?

These questions are for, in case if I'm going to use MSDE 2000 instead of Paradox:

3.All ready I've created the database in the Corporate Main Server, how can I use those same tables, and other SQL Server objects in the MSDE 2000 from the Corporate Main Server? Do I've to create my tables again?
4.How can I replicate from MSDE 2000 to MS SQL Server 2000? Does this require any new thing in between? and what is that thing?

(I'm a completely new to the MSDE 2000, but know little bit of MS SQL Server 2000, So I'm urging from you all to make the question bit understandable please.)

Awaiting Anybody's response in Anticipation.

Thanx in Advance,
Regards,
Hifni

Hifni,

It would be worthwile to get formal training or at least some books on
MSSQL administration and development. Far too much info to post here.

From a Delphi perspective...

Yes, with DTS packages (Data Transformation Services).

DTS is only available with SQL Server, not MSDE.

DTS Packages (the MSDE box will show up as an SQL Server)

As an alternative, perhaps your boss might be prepared to buy a
copy of SQL Server Developer Edition. It's the full SQL Server,
but you can't run "production" databases on, it's for development
and testing only. You can set up an MSDE installation later for
testing if you need to. In the UK SQL Dev Edn is about £50 (that's
about 92 USD or 75 euros).

BTW if you've used the BDE for your Paradox application, you
should switch to using ADO components for MSDE / SQL Server.
