Hi, I want to build a simple graphic-like engine to simulate the actual
building structure and can let the user custom the actual object¡¯s position
(For example, put a chair near the fireplace). What¡¯s the system called and
how to begin? Thanks.

Two-dimensional or three-dimensional?

Well, I asked this basic question because it means an important choice.

If you want to just show a 2-dimensional floor plan, any kind of cad
component might do, or even standard drawing functions in Delphi can help
you out.

If you want to do 3-dimensional (spatial) modeling, then look at either of
these libraries:
- GlScene
- DelphiX

So, first make up your mind a bit more on what you want and then if you have
specific questions, ask away :)

Kind regards,

Nils
