Using D7, looking for feedback on the various skin tools used for providing
a different look and feel for Delphi. Anyone have any experiences good or
bad with them? Curious how well they work, components that do not work
properly, etc.
Ones I was thinking of were AlphaSkins, Sunisoft, SkinCrafter.
Thanks, Wayne |

I like VCLSkin. You just drop one non-visual component at your main form and
that's it!
At runtime you will see your application with the look you want.
I found nothing easier.

I'm no Delphi programmer, I just lurk here and there to migrate my app team from VB. I looked at all the skin components as I was looking to build a base component library for the team to use. (That means, my comments may not be usable for you)
If you want to build Office XP like themed applications with unicode support, SpTBXLib <http://club.telepolis.com/silverpointdev/sptbxlib/index.htm> is the best; other plugs look costly alternative.
If you want to build WinAmp like skinning, TSkinForm <http://www.friendsoft.net/en/tskinform/index.asp> looks like an only way--the idea looks extremely cool. It would be better if this kind of skinning is possible to existing applications (like degrades gracefully/unobtrusive style as in Ajax)
