|
|
Hello. I have try my answer in RFC 821 to find, but my English is not so
good. Do I have, if a Domain has several Mailserver, which send Mail to
all, or only at one, until them were successfully dispatched?

You only need to send it to one. DNS servers list several in case one
provides an erorr, or to balance the load.

That is how you tell, in Indy 9 anyway. If there is no exception, your mail
has been sent to the server.
I take the MX server with the best priority from the list & try three times
to send it. If it still has not gone I give up & leave the mail in the
outbox. The app tries to send the contents of the outbox every 15 minutes,
so eventually the mail gets sent.

I'm confused. First, i use Indy 10. I try it with the
modified SMTPRelay Demo from Indy 9 and with
this i get a exception. In my Application i get NO
exception.
