Hi All

Delphi 4
Paradox tables

Not strictly a database question I know but closely related!

When MS Word merges a new document with database fields from my application
I have noticed that only text that lies outside of any merge fields is spell
checked, text that is the result of merging a database field is totally
ignored! If I even click inside a paragraph that contains mergefield text
and type rubbish....this is also ignored.

I have looked into various options within Word and into database field
switches but cannot find any setting that will allow the spell checking of
database fields.

Can any-one suggest a way forward on this one, even if this is merely to
suggest a more suitable newsgroup?

Thanks for your time.

You might try the Microsoft Word newsgroup. However, I suspect that
the only solution is to add a spell checker to your app and check the
text when it is entered into the database.

Thanks Bill

I was sort of prepared for that! Could anyone suggest a suitable spell
checking add-on?

I cannot. Try Google or the third party tools group.
