Hello,
I have installed Delphi 7 successfull. Now
when i try to start Delphi I get a application error:
" "
I use the OS Win 2000 SP 4. I haven't installed
any 3rd party components.
Also I have tried to update the MSI. It seems that
I have the current versions.
Best Regards

Could you please post the exact error? Try uninstalling, disable all
programs running in the background such as virus protection, and then
reinstall.

Steve

You can try EurekaLog (http://www.eurekalog.com).
EurekaLog is an add-in tool that gives to your application (GUI,
Console, Web, etc.) the ability to catch every exception (even those
raised by memory leaks) and every infinite-loops/deadlock bugs,
generating a detailed log of call stack (with unit, class, method and
line #), showing and sending it back to you via email.

Hello Steve,
A new try of me :)
I uninstalled Delphi and disabled all Prorgramms and installed it new.
I get the same error yet. The error message is:
"The application can not properly to initialize (0xc0000005). Click
OK to terminate the application"
Do you have any ideas?
Also I read, I have to update the MSI. Therefore I installed - as
recommended -
the Office XP. Also I can say that I had installed Office 2003 before. Also
is
on the Laptop DotNet installed.
Best Wishes

I found an article where this might occur on Windows XP with Office 2003
installed however that won't apply to you case as you are on Windows
2000. Do you have Norton anti-virus installed? I would try disabling
as many processes as you can before starting Delphi and see if there is
some sort of conflict going on with some other running program. Another
thing you could try is to go into your Display settings and turn
Hardware acceleration to None in case there is a video driver conflict.

Steve
