Hi.
Is it possible to add a column somehow to windows explorer so that I
can add a checkbox or comment to every file.
I know we can add menu items, right click stuff etc.

Basically I download hundreds of podcasts. Every few weeks I burn a
few dozen to cd's and then I have something to listen to in my car on
the way to and from work.

I'd like to keep track of which ones I've burned (I must of already
done a hundred or so cd's), and I did not want to make up a whole app
and database to do it, so I thought I might be able to figure out
something simpler.

So I'm looking for suggestions.

thanks
Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Here's what you do (assuming you're using WinXP...)

Go to the 'View' menu in Explorer, click on 'Choose
Details' (forth from the bottom) in the list displayed
click on the 'Attributes' check box.

Then set the files you've burned 'Archive' attribute.
This will be visible in explorer.

Also if you inspect the various choices in the list
in 'Choose Details' you may see something you like
even better...
