Hi all,
I have Delphi 2005
I am using the TSQLConnection component to connect try and connect to a
Sybase database ASE built into a SysMaster Gateway.
I enter the host address - the username and password but cant connect - it
has trouble opening the vendor libraries.
Does anyone know what i am doing wrong - or an idiots guide to connect to
ASE Sybase would be most apreciated -
regards Mark

First check if the Sybase open client software was properly installed.
Open a command window and type: isql -v (enter). You should see some
Sybase version and copyright info.
Second, check the connection to the Sybase server. Open the DsEdit
utility, select your server and try to ping the server. Does that work?
Sasan.
