Independent software vender. I think this could be a huge market for Delphi,
since Delphi gives you exactly what a lot of those vendors need:
Speed, small downloads (when packed with upx), great looking interfaces,
great database support, ease of development.

The other term, MicroISV, refers to ISVs with only one or two programmers.

I think MicroISVs should be the number one concern for DevCo. They could
sell a huge amount of licenses there, especially now where classic VB is
basically gone.

For more info I'd suggest checking out http://www.microisv.com/

Interesting for every developer who wants to try it on his own...

It is another TLA (Three Letter Acronym).

I had to look up ISV myself, I keep confusing it with ISP (Internet
Service Provider).

I had to look it up. But that's what I came up with too.

LOL! "Delphi for his IS*P*" was entirely possible back when Delphi was
introduced so the typo in the original posting was a little confusing
(of course Delphi Internet is still alive as Delphi Forums but not as an
ISP these days). I had to click on the link to read the thread before
I realized that *I*S*V* was intended. I was the way he said "Delphi for
his ISV" that threw me off. If the wording was different then ISV may
have made just a bit more sense from the get-go.

Cheers,
Kevin.

What we've got here is failure to communicate...
can't you say Delphi for his independent software vending machinery or
something like that?

Interesting... never heard of tschörmän. Is that just a dialect of German?

Thanks,
Kevin.

Hoi

Albeit they speak German in Deutschland, Österreich and Schweiz, there
are some slight variations, here is one:

EN: Whipped cream
Germany: Schlagsahne
Austria: Schlagobers
Swiss: Schlagrahm

I am sure that Fritz can come with some more examples.

Obviously it is not enough to have just one German translation of
Delphi, there need to be 3! ;-)
