Somebody has suggested I "upgrade" to TBetterADO as being better than the
Borland ADO offering (which is certainly buggy).

Is there a TBetterADO for D7? If so, where can I get it? How do I install
it? And where does it install itself to?

There is only one TBetterADODataSet but it works with D7. You install it as
usual, with BetterADO.dpk. Just turn off unsafe method warnings in options.
It is available on http://betterado.hit.bg/
