|
|
Hello,
I wrote a small custom videoclip player. Now, sound is always played, while
video is missing (blank Panel) or present depending on the codec I use (e.g.
XviD doesn't work, WMV3 does).
Of course I do have all these codec installed, and indeed double-clicking
the video file works all right.
I've heard about DSPack, and maybe will try it, but I can't see why
TMediaPlayer should behave so.
Any clue?
TIA

Somoene can probably give you a much better explanation, but I think it's
got something to do with the fact that TMediaPlayer is using older
technology/interfaces (VfW? MCI?), and not the DirectX stuff that DSPack
uses.
Go get DSPack and use that. It's easy, and it works very well. I'm using it
for a project myself.

TMediaPlayer uses VFW. Many codecs do not support VFW any more. Use
DSPack or VideoLab - www.mitov.com .
