|
|
I have created a project that uses Tomcat 4.0 as its server,
and that project has no problems displaying any stack traces
in the Web View, but if I change the server to Tomcat 4.1 no
stack traces are displayed.
I am using JBuilder X.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have you consulted the newsgroup archives. They
are rich with discussions on Tomcat debugging
changes from Tomcat 4.0 to 4.1.

Save time, search the archives:
http://www.borland.com/newsgroups/ngsearch.html
Is it in Joi Ellis's Faq-O-Matic?
http://www.visi.com/~gyles19/fom-serve/cache/1.html
Finally, please send responses to the newsgroup only.
That means, do not send email directly to me.
Thank you.

Yes, I have searched the newsgroups. I posted a message because
I could not find the answer that I was looking for. The only
information I found concerning debugging said to copy
jasper-compiler.jar and the jasper-runtime.jar from the Tomcat
4.0 directory to the 4.1 directory. The 4.0 direcotory doesn't
even contain those files but the 4.1 directory does.

I would suggest that you mention that you
have searched the archives. Begin your missives
with the words:
"I've tried searching the archives, but haven't
found an answer to the following problem: ...".

You looked for the wrong thing. Try searching
at www.tamaracka.com using the following keyword
entry, including the punctuation:
^jbuilder ^servlets-jsp tomcat debug level
As I said in my previous message, things changed
radically between Tomcat 4.0.x and 4.1.x with respect
to logging.
