I set a Tpagecontrol, i create 3 o 4 tabsheets.
Now i try to place a button control on one tabsheet and the IDE set it as
general. This control has a global visibility.
After i cut this control, and paste, and then works correctly.
Anybody can confirm this issue?
thank´s

You likely did not move the focus to the desired tabsheet first. It is not
enough to select its tab on the page control. You have to then select the
tab sheet body itself so that it is focused. When you drop a component from
the Palette, its Parent is whichever component has the focus.

You must be using a different vendors IDE!
The focused component plays no part in determining who the parent is.
Selecting the tab and dropping a component 'on the tabsheet' is enough.
Josep's problem is that when he dropped the button, he missed.

After selecting the tab, try clicking down on the tabsheet before
placing a component. Unless the actual tabsheet is highlighted
with the stretch handles, it is not selected. At least that is the way
it is with my antiquated BCB5...

My point was that the tabsheet does not need to be selected.
Drop a panel on the form, then select it, then drop a button
on the tabsheet. The button will be a child of the tabsheet.
BCB5 or BDS2006, it works the same.

Ok, thanks for the correction. But once upon a time, this
*was* the case, I am certain. I fell into that hole, I have
been avoiding it, and I didn't realize it had been filled-in.
And I have seen some other holes stay around for a very
long time.
