By setting the "Connected" property to False of the TSQLConnection, I can see in the IBConsole that the SYSDBA user disconnects. And after that I set the TSQLConnection user_name and password params to match my new user, and thereafter I set "Connected" property to true again. But the user that shows up on the "IBConsole Connected users list" are still SYSDBA. So for some reason it does not "kill" the connection with the old user. It does work to log in directly with my new user so there cant be any problem with that particular user.
