The Delphi documentation talks about translating strings for presentation in the GUI, but says nothing about supporting international filenames, either as Unicode or using some other method. Are non-English users accustomed to assigning English or ANSI filenames to their documents, even when an application otherwise uses their native language? Is this a common restriction in applications intended for the global market? Is Unicode filename support necessary, expected, or commonly provided in international applications?
