I just need to know what the smartest way to do this are ? I cant update the exe file because i'm running it. So i guess i need to download a update.exe or something. Run that file, which closes my app. Then download the new exe file and maybe other files and overwrite them. Maybe change/add some settings to config files.. Start the app close the update.exe and kill it from my app. How should i check for new versions ? Create a html file which contains just a version number ? Check the page every time it starts, then notify if changed ? What if the users has different versions, which will require different actions to update... Humm just need some ideas since i have never done this before.
