If you want to upgrade from one Academic License to another Academic
License, you should check with your academic reseller for sure.
The Retail license doesn't check, nor does it specify which qualifying
upgrade licenses you're allowed to upgrade from, so I'd be inclined to
believe you could use your Academic license to qualify for the Retail
Upgrade license. You would not be able to sell your original Academic
license, though. Again, you should check with your reseller for sure, if
you're buying a retail license direct from CodeGear USA, call their phone
number (it's probably an 831 area code).

I want to upgrade from acedamic version to commercial one, may be pro or
enterprise edition of Delphi 2007. I understand if you upgrade it from any
pro or enterprise version you dont have to pay in full , just pay for
upgrade. Is it true for acedamic version too? |

Delphi 2007 has an honor system on the upgrade. No matter which
previous version you own, you will get the same upgrade price. So, you
probably don't need to be concerned about the academic aspect.

You really need to call to confirm. The Upgrade disk won't check your
existing license, so everything will work, no alarm bells will ring, etc.
I'm not aware of anything in the licenses prohibiting it. I *believe*
you're OK, but I'm not a CodeGear/Borland rep, and they don't provide
support on the newsgroups. There should be pre-sales support at
http://support.codegear.com though.
