If I upgrade to the current 8.? version of IW, I pay 599 EUR... and
have full appmode.

If I upgrade from Delphi 2005 Professional to Enterprise, I pay $500?,
if it is even available as an upgrade, but also gain a fully working version
of IW8.? appmode.

If I upgrade to Delphi 2006 Enterprise, I have a whole lot more that I
simply can't afford right now... (LOL, ouch!)

So, of the first two feasible solutions, if I ask Borland which way to go
they will same buy us; and AZ will say, "No, buy me!".

From Delphi 2005 Professional, to get a fully working IW with appmode,
how would you proceed?

And - - even though I have tested appmode (and it runs on "my" machine,
duh!),
how can I determine that appmode will run on a Linux/Apache box that has
an AMD process in a Dell box?

I have NO IW standalone appmode apps to copy to my Website (probably via
FTP)
and test. Is there any full-blown 8.? IW standalone appmode application
that I can
run on my newly subscribed webserver hosted by BlueHost?

Also, it is not my box and a multitude of users are using the same box I
am...
so I have no way to mount CDs, install apps, do upgrades, and the like. I
am simply
stuck in my own little subdirectory.

(Therefore Kylix is not an option, and it's WAY TOO expensive!)

I'm like the other guy... Patrick M. ... and have the same views. I need a
real solution
and want to know that it works before I waste buku bucks and a load of time
and have nada!

Yes. Plus one year all updates and one year priority support.

No. Delphi 2005 has a free license for IW 7.2 only.

Of course ;-)

IW 8 won't run on Linux at all. We have frozen our Linux/Kylix support
at IW version 7.0.16 (and of course you would need Kylix 3 to compile a
linux DSO). Windows Apache DSO's are still possibel with IW 8, but as
Borland does not officially support Apache anymore, our Apache support
is "as is".

Is that aWindows machine?

If itt supports Windows ISAPI's or DSO's, then it would be fine.
