Hi,

Does anyone have any experience programming web/usb cameras?

I want to install a webcam for part of a home security system to take
moving pictures (not just stills).

I've been experimenting with this cheap USB camera (not specifically a
webcam)...

http://www.cool-icam.com/web/eng/product/2U.html

But haven't been able to find any Delphi routines to use it as a
webcam (ie a series of pictures), although this camera has that
fuction and does work with Microsoft netmeeting. The only routine I
managed to find was for grabbing the images already stored in the
camera.

I'm assuming if I buy an actual "webcam" I'll have more success. Has
anyone done anything similar and can suggest some routines and/or a
suitable (cheap) camera?

Many thanks,

Steve

Use a basic USB WebCam and look for free components like
TAVICap or something of that order.
