|
|
I just migrated from D7 + BCB6 to BDS2006.
I've installed a third-party package (TurboPower Software's Orpheus from
sourceforge.net) with some components I need to use with both C++ and Delphi
forms, but the components appear on the palette only when a Delphi form is
up. With a C++ form up, only the standard component palettes appear, not
the third-party components.
How do I install components so they're available with both C++ and Delphi
forms? One of my projects uses both C++ and Delphi forms, and both types
need the same components.
I tried uninstalling the Delphi package and installing instead a C++Builder
package, but now I see the custom components only the C++ palette, not the
Delphi palette. When I try to install both packages, BDS gives an error
message about not installing a unit because it's already installed with
another package.
Any help most appreciated.

Uninstall any version you currently have installed. Then use the
Delphi Package. Got to the project options and turn on "Create all C++
files" and then build and install. The components should now be
available to both personalities.
