Anyone using SourceForge's delphioci? I've built & installed the packages
into C++ Builder v6 but cannot assign a design-time server name to my
database object. The documentation is (very) weak but I'm guessing that I
actually have to have an Oracle client installed on the machine. Also the
error message appear in Russian which is, er, not terribly helpful. Is
there a minimal way to use this component (e.g. with just a copy of oci.dll,
an ORA file and perhaps a couple of other files from an Oracle client
install) without actually installing the whole Oracle client? I can't very
well expect a customer to install the Oracle client before my program.

Alternatively, any good *standalone* Oracle 9+ no-fee components out there?
