I saw TGIFImage recommended a number of times for use in displaying animated
GIFs where GraphicEx and other components do not have that capability. So I
downloaded it and can create a simple application that loads an animated GIF
into a TImage that is set to fill my application's main form. Works great.

What I _really_ want to do is use this in an ActiveX control I'm writing
that will work inside Internet Explorer to perform a slide show playback
(that's the simple, non-NDA violating version). I put basically the same
calls in, and when my animated GIF loads, I see only the first image in the
sequence. It doesn't animate.

I tried creating a new ActiveForm that does the same thing, and load a
single file in the OnCreate event. Same deal - first image shows, but I get
no animation.

Can anyone shed some light on what might be the issue when using TGIFImage
in an ActiveX control? I'm thinking either threading in Internet Explorer,
or some default setting that is great for the application doesn't sit well
when using an ActiveX control.

Really kind of puzzling. Any help appreciated....
