Hello everyone,

When compiling an application with Borland C++ Builder 6 within the IDE,
the compiler only use 2% of the cpu usage. So the compilation is very
very very long (about 40 minutes for the project).
The "background compilation" switch is unchecked.
The computer is a Dell Inspiron 9200, Pentium M 1.8GHz, 1GB of RAM,
every thing should work fine Very Happy.

Does anyone get the same problem ?

Thanks in advance,

Be sure that Tools/Environment Options are not set to "Background Compilation".

The "background compilation" switch is unchecked.

is it the same for all applications you try to compile?

Do you have some network drives in your includes path, which is no longer
availible?

It was not a network drive but you aimed the problem : there were a path
in the project options which was on one cd-rom drive and on one invalid
drive Wink , the project was created on a computer where these pathes were
valid.

A lot of thanks for your help,

Regards,
