|

Hi all
I want to grab videos to MPEG2 format on my hard disk, and then view them,
all controlled by Delphi.5.
I want to connect a analogue camera (high resolution colour camera) with a
BNC-connection to my PC (WinXP) and grab the video, 10 frames per second or
faster onto my hard disk in MPEG2 format.
I then also need to display the video. I actually will only need to 1) jump
to specific places in the video, and paint the picture inside Delphi, and 2)
to play a section of the video.
Questions:
1) What software can I use to trigger the starting and stopping of the
recording from inside Delphi ?
2) Do I need a special card, or will the software work on any video card
with a BNC connection?
3) What software will be able to play the video or paint a specific frame
inside Delphi ? I have done it with TMediaPlayer and AVI, but I need MPEG2
format.
4) Can one go to a specific place in the video extremely precisely in MPEG2
? It would be a bonus if I could be 100% sure about the precise time, to
1/10 sec, when a frame was taken.
The viewing and recording do not have to happen simultaneously.
Thanks
Marcus

Hi Marcus,
Try VideoLab at www.mitov.com . It will do all that. The should work
with any capture card.
With best regards,
