|
|
Hello,
I am trying to put together a VOIP application using AudioLab components.
I believe I can connect my source to a TALGenericFilter component and use
the ALGenericFilter1ProcessData event handler to access the real data in the
buffer and send this to a remote PC over a UDP socket.
My question is how to re-construct the audio at the remote machine from the
data stream arriving at the socket? Can I get the data into a Generic Filter
and connect this to an output device? Since I have nothing to connect to the
input pin of the GenericFilter on the receiving PC, how would the system be
clocked (or is it pumped?)?
Any advice or examples of how to do this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Brian.

Hi Brian,
Please contact me directly on this issue. V2.1 Beta 1 for first time
introduced the compression decompression components for VOIP, and some
bugs ware discovered. I have updated unofficial version that works for
few people already, so please contact me at mitov (AT) mitov (DOT) com to get the
prerelease and the example code for VOIP.
Please accept my apology for the VOIP glitch in the Beta release, but
that is what the Beta releases are especially with new functionality.
With best regards,
Boian Mitov
