I want to ask expert advise on networked audio application development in
BCB (or Delphi)
We have 15 networked computers all in the same domain (192.168.1.XX) in our
LAN. All computers equiped with speaker and microphone. We want to able to
implement Walki-Talki kind of "push to talk" mechanism to talk to computers
on the network.
As you know the push-to-talk mechanism is a broadcast mechanism ie. sender's
message will be received by all the listeners within the
broadcast range. We want to predefine virtual distances between computer so
that some of the computers will be out-of-range for some broadcasters.
Can you advise me how we can implement Walki-Talki kind of "push to talk"
audio broadcast on a local network?
We prefer to use C++ but if there is an "easy" way doing it in Delphi, we
can also use Delphi.
Any recomended component, sample code, tutorial etc?
Thank you
