In response to serious PC problems, I have attempted to move everything to
another PC.

Now, however, the exact same compiled code returns some very weird results.
For example,

MyTable.FieldByName('MyField').AsString returns
'1.38537619631269E-312'.

The actual value is something like '2003637' and the field is defined as
Numeric - 7 digits - 0 decimals.

To give another example,

MyTable.FieldByname('MyField2').AsInteger returns 16708.

The actual value is 1 and the field is defined as Numeric - 1 digit - 0
decimals.

The Control Panel - Regional Settings are correct.

Do you know what is causing this strange behavior?

Thank you,

Dale Francis

Insufficient data. What database backend are we talking about here?
What Windows platform? What Delphi version?

Interbase.

So you should go straight to b.p.interbase.general and ask there. This may
be a configuration issue.

With the 5.1 update applied?
