Hi all,
I bought an AMD64 processor few days ago. During compiling an old project,
the PC hangs and I must reset. The freeze is random...aometimes it goes fine
and sometimes I must reset.
In some old thread I saw that this problem is not only mine...someone has
achieved a solution? or there is a borland position about this problem?

thanks

I believe it as been attributed to a BIOS issue and can be resolved by
upgrading your BIOS.

I had this problem with BCBv5 and an MSI K7T Neo + AMD 64 3200 set-up.
One particular project kept freezing the PC - every other project
compiled fine and no other apps caused the PC to freeze.

The bios had been upgraded a few times, but it was only the latest BIOS
update that fixed the freezes.

There is a thread (about 20 posts before)

"Can I use BCB6 with AMD 64bit processors?"

ok...it seems to be ok. After the upgrade I did succesfully 10-11 build of
the project without problems.
Thank you
