It's not a virus. It's a marketing campaign from Borland sent out by a
third party direct marketing company
that we hired.

Thank you, I'll keeping an e-mail then

Now, while we own about 10 copies of Delphi 7Ent, why should we buy this new
repackage? there is no fixes in it
It is like if you ask us to buy Delphi 7 Architect
Yes to spend 1500 instead 2399 is good, but why should we do this if we own
D7
and D8 will come in couple of months (Q4?)

By the way you might think about upgrade price from D7Ent to D7Arch and
provide SA with it (included)

Can't you at least get your third party bilk-emailer's headers to include
the 'from' and 'reply-to' addresses as a Borland address (that you could
give them access to)?

That would be nice, wouldn't it?

Try getting a third party marketing people to understand that... They
may not even allow that. Who
knows. I'll forward the suggestion...

Any info on if/when Software Assurance will get onto shop.borland.com? The
SE mailing mentions it, but provides no pricing.

It's in the Australian one.

Brian,

This looks highly suspicious to me.
If I had gotten one, it would have been
reported to spamcop already and the
email address shut down.

Oops, I see from a later post that the
reply address is invalid.
Looks like someone beat me to it.

SpamCop doesn't shut down email addresses, it simply prevents you from
getting email from them
if they're in their database and you use SpamCop.

Each time I have given Borland my email address, when the option was
presented, I specifically requested NOT to receive emails. Please stop
sending me spam and please have my email address removed from
bridgemailsystems' database. In the future, please honor my request not
to be sent emails.

It is Delphi 7 Arhitect + latest version of Interbase and a couple of
other tools. It always irks me how, by upgrading early (at the then
special upgrade prices) it seems to always cost me more then if I
waited. They should at least ship the same additional bundled tools to
the people who bought D7 Architect early on.
