Hi,
it has been a while... relocation... ;o)
as usual in this case a lot did happen...

First, congratulation with Delphi 24 hours event, this is a killing surprise
;o)

it has been about 2 weeks since July 7th... is there an information which
could be shared in this extend other then rumors?

My guess that Delphi/BDS suite now is a major product in a Borland product
line since it did get final attention...

and I just went to blogs.borland.com and I do not see Michael Slinn there...
as well as there is no activity from him in a blog... is he still around?

That just means he doesn't have any posts on his blog. AFAIK he's
still involved with Delphi.

If he is, he outlasted Dale Fuller. That is ironic, if true.

As surprising at it might seem, there was lots of unfounded declaration of
"fact", and some people even giving marketing advice to Borland.

;o) as always in times between rulers...

By this definition any employee currently at Borland "outlasted" Dale.
I don't really see your point.

As it should be. After all, practically, Pascal is their 'thing' since
day 1 (*).

Yes, I wonder about that - I think he has show great potential for
Delphi: I hope he wasn't placed somewhere in basement...

OK, Sidekick was cool, but things come and go.

He apperantly is, as he appeared on the first segment of the 24 Hours
broadcast. You can hear him at 00:44 sec. <conspiracy> Or they brought
somebody in, who is playing him. </conspiracy>

Dashboard was cool, too. I was so bummed when it didn't work in Win2k
that I wrote a replacement - Dashiki - for the parts I actually used.
Too bad it's been a complete flop as shareware (which, perhaps,
explains why Dashboard was abandoned by Starfish Software, too).

He won a prize int he "24 hours" then got disqualified because he was a
Borland employee . . . so I guess the answer is yes! <g>

You need to tell your employer to let you take off a few days to work on
things like your website. What are they doing there at work that is so
important anyway? <g>

I wonder if he's the one that came up with "The 24 Hours of Delphi"? That
would more than make up for the blog fiasco, IMHO.
